First day in Manaus – Part 1 – Sophie’s Experience

After a four-hours-plane-flight from Rio, I finally arrived in Manaus Monday in the afternoon. Accompanied by 2 friends, we were lucky enough to have our coachsurfing host picking us up at the airport. A very nice guy, Luis, who just came back from Bolivia. We arrived to his place in the center and ate all together.

That week was a jazz festival in Manaus, therefore, we decided for the evening to go to a free jazz concert in the Municipal Theater (Teatro Municipal), an impressive and beautiful place! The music was perfect. Very chilled and good vibes with Luis and all his family. After this concert, we decided to head home. Tomorrow we had to wake up early to catch the ferry.
